On Feb. 27, 2007, two young women with blonde hair and wearing designer sunglasses were caught on videotape laughing and giggling as they presented a robbery note to a teller at a bank branch located inside a grocery store in Acworth, Georgia. Police released the videotape to get the public's help in identifying the women the media dubbed the "Barbie Bandits."

Two Georgia women who became known as the "Barbie Bandits" have been sentenced for their part in the $11,000 robbery of a grocery store bank branch office on Feb. 27, 2007 in Acworth, Georgia.

'Barbie Bandit' Enters Guilty Plea
Aug. 23, 2007
With no plea bargain in place, one of the two young Atlanta women known as the "Barbie Bandits" entered a guilty plea to felony theft and misdemeanor marijuana possession. Heather Johnson said she plead guilty without a plea deal because she wanted to take responsibility for her actions and she tearfully apologized in court.

'Barbie Bandits' Arrested With Bank Teller

The 'Barbie Bandits' have been nabbed. Georgia police say they have arrested two young women, seen in surveillance tapes holding up a bank branch in a supermarket wearing sunglasses, along with the bank teller who was in on the robbery, as well as a man suspected to be their drug dealer.

Georgia police are asking the public's help in identifying two young females who calmly held up a bank branch in a grocery store, wearing only dark sunglasses as a disguise. Cobb County investigators have received several tips after releasing photos of the two young women the press has named the "Barbie Bandits."
