Background
Texas authorities are seeking information about a missing 12-year-old Mesquite, Texas girl, who apparently was abducted by her stepfather who left a letter indicating that he wanted to "make her my wife."
Missing is 12-year-old Jami Hicks, who was last seen Friday, Sept. 3, about 11 p.m. with her stepfather James Roy Hudachek. Jami Hicks is 5 feet, 3 inches, 110 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes. James Hudachek is 5 feet, 10 inches, 160 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Jamie was last seen wearing jeans with a buckle on the front and a gray striped shirt with a tie at the shoulder.
Authorities do not know what vehicle Hadachek may be driving, because his own vehicle was located in Mesquite. Police and the girl's mother believe that Jami is in danger.
Angela Hudachek, Jami's mother, tried to convince police on Saturday that her daughter was in danger. Over the weekend, she provided evidence to support her claims, including a letter from her husband that said he wanted the girl as his wife. Police issued the alert after seeing the letter.
Anyone with information regarding the location of the girl or Hudachek should call the Mesquite Police Department at (972) 216-6252.
